The Danish Society for Neuroscience (DSfN) has received funding from the Lundbeck Foundation for a number of scholarships to our members.

APPLICATION DEADLINE OCTOBER 22 (MIDNIGHT), 2023

The scholarships are for students within neuroscience (within e.g., medicine, human biology, and biochemistry).

A stipend can be given for 6-12 months to support pre-graduate training in neuroscience with a monthly amount of 10,000 DKK for salary. In addition, a maximum of 20,000 DKK can be awarded for running costs. The purpose of the scholarship is to support the best and most promising students, and to provide the opportunity to dedicate extra time to the project. 

Formal requirements:

  • The student must be enrolled as full-time student at a Danish university during the project period.
  • The student must satisfy all other requirements given by the research institution that will administer the scholarship.
    The student and supervisor must be members of DSfN at the time of application.

Application:

The student together with the supervisor defines the research project which is to be conducted at a Danish research institution.

The application should include:

  • Student CV (1 A4)
  • Mentor CV (1 A4)
  • A project description (max 800 words), excluding figures and tables (max 3), and references). The project description must include the subsections: (1) background, (2) hypotheses, (3) experiments, (4) methods, (5) time plan (6) the student’s role and tasks.

The scholarship should be initiated no later than 1 July 2024.
